Tahiti is very famous for overwater bungalows, but my family and I spent a lot of time underwater! In Tahiti we saw many sea creatures that we had never seen before while snorkeling.
While snorkeling near our hotel room, we saw several octopi! The first time we spotted one while snorkeling was quite shocking. They can be really tough to find since they blend in with the rocks, but we could spot them when they moved, especially because their skin would turn white. They were a lot of fun to find and watch!

We also saw spotted devil rays! It was our first time seeing rays while snorkeling. In the past, we had gone to special locations to find rays, but this time we found them randomly under one of the bungalows! They look like small manta rays, and when they swim they look like they are flapping wings.

As part of an excursion we went to a place with lots of stingrays and sharks. While stopping for lunch we even saw a demonstration on how to open coconuts. Afterward we snorkeled some more and saw a very scary looking eel!

Of course, we also saw some colorful tropical fish and coral! We went on an expedition where a guide would take photos of us while we snorkeled. His camera was a lot better than ours, so the photos turned out very nice!

Tahiti was a great place to see some sea creatures that we had never seen in the wild before!
The eagle rays are like airplanes!
Indeed they are!
Those sting rays are so cute. I want to pet one—but I probably shouldn’t, lol. Tahiti looks like a really fun place to vacation. I had no idea sting rays swam in formation!
Eagle rays indeed have poisonous tails, so you might now want to pet one lol. I definitely did not expect to encounter a bunch of rays in such perfect formation!
are ya’ll going swimming with normal clothes on???
Lol, no! The swimming suits just look sort of like normal clothes :”)
