Fun Mountain Adventures

Categories Uncategorized0 Comments

Most of the time, when we go on trips, we naturally visit the tourist attractions and scenic places. However, some places provide the chance to do adventurous activities! In some of the mountainous places we have visited, we have had the chance to do fun mountain-related activities, namely alpine coasters and downhill scooters.

We discovered alpine coasters in Germany, when we decided to go on one near Neuschwanstein Castle at Tegelberg. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it!

We later went on one on a mountain in Austria that had very nice views and another at Zell Am See. An alpine coaster is basically a small car that you ride on a track. You can control how fast you go, so even people who don’t like high speeds (like my mom) can have a fun time.

We discovered downhill scooters on our first trip to Switzerland. My dad and I chanced upon a scooter in Interlaken and decided to try it out. We got to see some nice wild flowers on the way down. The second time was in Zermatt, and we got a beautiful view of the town of Zermatt and the surrounding valley.

Riding a downhill scooter is sort of like riding a bike. You get to control your direction and speed, though you don’t have to pedal because the scooter is just going downhill. It can be a little hard for an inexperienced biker, but you can choose to take it slow and hit the brakes if you want. Even my mom was able to pull it off 🙂

Hopefully if you visit a mountainous country you’ll have the opportunity to try out an alpine coaster or downhill scooter for some fun adventure and beautiful views!
